Backyard Bar or Bat Mitzvah in Boca, Parkland and Weston
How to host the kids' party at home after the service: the layout, the hora and the timing, in Boca Raton, Parkland or Weston.
After the service and the family celebration, the kids want a party of their own. Hosting it at home gives them a real nightclub in the backyard while the adults stay close. Here's how to plan it. Delivery is free to Boca Raton, Parkland and Weston.
Two parties, one address
Hold the family reception in the house or the yard, and open the club for the kids. Or flip it: the kids' party first, and the adults take over the dance floor once they go home. The Large holds up to 50 guests at a time and the Small up to 20.
Do the hora outside
The hora needs room to circle and to lift the chairs, and the club's ceiling is 13 to 14 feet. Dance the hora outside or at the reception, then bring everyone inside.
The checklist
- Book 6 to 8 weeks out for a popular weekend.
- Measure the spot: 21' x 21' or 14' x 17', flat, with nothing overhead.
- Four outlets on separate breakers, or add a generator.
- Catering outside the club; light drinks can come in.
- Sneakers or flats for the dance floor: heels damage the floor liner.
- A DJ for the kids' set, or their playlist over Bluetooth.
Book it
If you live in a gated community, add the crew to the gate list. The Small nightclub package starts at $999. See the details for Boca Raton, Parkland and Weston.
